Far better actor.

10. This makes up for his overlooked performance as Easy Reader..
..on Electric Company. Some of his finest work, and the fact that he won no awards for it is an injustice spanning the decades.

In all seriousness Morgan is the man. This is a very much deserved award for him.

17. I think he was equally as deserving as Denzel Washington was, who won
supporting actor in "Glory" (although Denzel was great in that film as well and deserved his award).

I still have never seen him as "Fast Black" in the old B movie "Street Smart". Supposed to be good.

20. He's like Robert Duvall. Always solid, and makes every movie he's
in better, even if the movie's lame.

21. I am so glad he won
The fact he hadn't won before was nothing short of scandalous. He wasn't even nominated for Clean and Sober where he was terrific. He didn't win for Driving Miss Daisy where he was terrific and wasn't even nominated for Lean on Me (same year where he was terrific). Even in some less than terrific films like Prince of Thieves he has been wonderful. It is about damn time.

22. I've been rooting for him to get one since Glory came out.
He's earned it, and he's waited long enough (and I haven't even seen the movie he won for yet). :)

Oh, and P.S., I loved his line in the Robin Hood movie, "Is there no sun in this Godforsaken land?" I have used that everytime it has rained for more than three days straight!
