they're not good, but they're always a challenging team

I'm a born Rangers fan, but when we lived in Niagara Falls from '94-'96, I became a Sabres' fan because Sabreland was a few miles from where I lived. I did get to see LaFontaine and Molgilney play, even if it was practice.

I swear this is a true story - on New Year's Eve 1995, Marie O8)let me go out with several friends. We're at some club downtown, when I get bored with the music and go outside to get a hot dog (I'm still trying to figure out why Buffalo has hot dog vendors). Anyway, I'm in line and behind me I hear this woman bitching to her S.O. that she's cold, and she wants his jacket. I'm bombed off my gore, so I turn around and loan her my jacket. She looks at her S.O. and says "Why can't you be as nice as this man?"

I look at the S.O. and it's HASEK! I probably should have asked him for an autograph, but he looked pissed and grateful. I did get the jacket back, and I can't remember where it is anymore.

Like I told my friend earlier, "In a few hours, the nightmare begins".
