I finished my scientific paper tonight!
I have been studying one disease for ten years, and I have written the FINAL paper on it, which suggests a treatment which SHOULD cause the eradication of all of the pathology associated with the disease. I have been working on this paper for YEARS now, and tonight I finally finished it and sent it off to my patent attorney. I am so happy it's finally, finally done.

4. If it's right wing fundamentalism, let's put it in the water supply, ASAP!
This country has suffered long enough.

3. Impressive. Congratulations. Is that how it normally works? First
to a patent attorney? I would have thought it would go to a journal for peer review or something. Not being a wiseacre, just honest curiousity.

10. That's what I was thinking, too.
Submission to a peer-reviewed journal is pretty standard, especially if your goal is the actual benefit of humanity (rather than personal enrichment). Not to mention that first publication of results is generally acceptable as proof of priority of discovery when it comes to patent claims.

8. Sweet mother of God, someone felt the need to say something that would
get deleted in a thread in which someone is glorying in their moment of triumph?

What the fuck?

Who do some people even bother being here?

9. It's the same guy that was talking about his . . . um, rear end
and what he likes to do with it earlier. A combination of a bodily function thread and sheer tastelessness. Not sure what his/her problem is . . . but I'd say it's a big one.

11. Just a random trolling joe showing up to disrupt with
bodily function posts?

12. Evidently so
But the thing is, why bother posting threads like that? Assuming a troll wants to get a higher post count, they go around posting innocuous comments on random threads, ones that are noticed but usually not responded too. After a while, many go out in a blaze of . . . well, not glory, so we'll just call it assholishness and stupidity. Why, all of a sudden, start posting threads that are more bad taste than anything else? It makes the poster look disgusting rather than causing a disruption, IMO.

14. Because most rightwing trash ARE just disgusting
and assholes.

They aren't smart enough to troll intelligently. Thank God!! Because with their lack of morals and values, they could be incredibly dangerous. The only defense the world has from them is their own stupidity and hubris.

Imagine if Shrubbie and his evil minions were more intelligent? They WOULD rule the world by now. Thankfully, they're too stupid. They're clever at times, yes; even sinisterly intelligent at others. But they can't maintain it long enough to really take things over.

6. Yay for science!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not going into the details, but kudos on undertaking the project. I'm just starting the sciencey stuff, but I should get there soon. Where are you submitting it for publication? And if it does get published, tell me so I can run out and get a copy. :)

Here, you deserve a :toast:

13. Congratulations!
It's great to hear of your achievement. Could you possibly post more information on the disease and your results? I'm sure many others are interested to find out more on your work.
