Grrrr.... rant about yahoo/sbc email
this pisses me off-

any normal, sane email application tells you the date and time that a message was received, in YOUR time. For example, I get an email at noon my time, the message thus has a time-stamp of 12:00

but yahoo/sbc gives you the local time of the person who sent the damned thing, so if you're in VA and mail me in CA at noon pacific time, the time-stamp on my email shows 3:00pm

:wtf: is up with that??????

1. Is there a way to change it in your options?
I don't remember. Then again, I rarely look at the time an email was received.

Hey. You want a gmail invite? I'm getting to like it better than my sbcglobal.net address anyhow.

2. I think yahoo dates their mail with pacific time
since they are based in California. I live in Florida and all my emails where dated with pacific time when I used yahoo. That used to really annoy me too.

BTW, I also have several gmail invites to get rid of.

4. I wish mine was pacific time
or at least if it could pick ONE time-zone and stick with it, I'd be happy

5. I switched from AOL to SBC last year, and I liked AOL better
For all the bashing AOL got, I thought I got better email service with them... I don't like SBC and the fact that multiple attachments don't automatically get zipped.

6. what always pissed me off about aol..
was that it never included the original message in my replies... even now, I'll email a friend who has aol, and a week later I get a reply back, and can't remember what I sent :silly:
