What's the deal with the Red Hat Ladies?
I saw a bunch of them at a restaurant on Friday. Is it some sort of support group?

3. Here's The Deal
It's a social group. Ladies under 50 wear pink hats to these same things. Over fifty, and you wear a red hat.

A lady friend of mine at church belongs to a Red Hat group.

8. The Red Hat Society is about women who turn 50. . .
and who celebrate their middle age by wearing red hats. . .

How they got started:

and some books about being a member of RHS.

Thank goodness for the concept of peaceful co-existence. :-)

11. I used to work in a store that catered to them. They are horrible!
Sorry if I offend anyone, but I would never join such a stupid trivial group. And I don't trust women who flaunt their age. "A woman who will tell her age will tell you anything." Giggle. They are awful.

13. "The Red Hat Club"
~ written by Haywood Smith is a cute fictional book about one very small group of ladies who lunch while wearing Red Hats and Purple Clothing.

However - there really is a "Red Hat Society" :toast: to all the ladies over 50 who are taking time out of a busy world. to enjoy something good together.

14. ladies over 50
I'm sorry but I don't get the purpose of wearing a big screaming siren on your head that you're over 50. You will just have to wait until you actually get close enough to see the wrinkles on my face before you write me off as an older model. It's crazy but apparently some women think that if they wear a red hat and purple clothes to "celebrate" being over 50 that they won't be classified because of their age. Even though they are classifying themselves because of their age.

It just makes me take care not to buy any red hats or any (more) purple clothes. Sigh.

What happened to the days when a lady was not asked her age? I just googled myself and some freakin' websites have listed it on the *&(&*$#&@! internet. Your age and everyone else's is listed too.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
