"Equality," I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

1. A hell of a good song.
Had it on the other night and I doubt if I'll ever grow tired of it.

"using ideas as my maps..." -- wow.

2. Thank you
Was wondering if anyone else was out there tonight. I guess with the "hot" pix in the lounge tonight, Dylan takes a back seat.

3. On that song, Dylan does it in 3/4 time and the Byrds --
-- do it in 4/4. I actually heard the Byrds' version first, and then found that it was a Bob Dylan song.

This was early, so I didn't have a true understanding of who wrote what. But this 'Bob Dylan' person's name kept popping up. Had to find out who he was.

An older cousin, age 15, let me hear his LPs. I was 13. What a GREAT present to give a 13-year old: Bob Dylan singing "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "My Back Pages." And so many others.

I'm very loyal to that cousin even now, but I'm not sure I can ever repay a gift like that.

4. Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
