1. Ahhhnold.
I wouldn't vote for him for dog catcher and if I did I'd have someone along to make sure the dogs weren't groped. Maria has a weakness? OK...She didn't gain much stature in the democratic party.

in sight during the short campaign, *until* the groping charges hit, *then* she was standing next to Arnold every second.

My guess is that his advisors kept her out of the picture (literally) as they were anticipating the groping charges; up they popped, and Maria was sent in to be right there, to deflect with the image.
