Forgive me...I LIKE a movie that could get me banned from Radical...

...groups that I may, or may not, belong to!

Yes, it's true, I liked, I know it's wrong...Win a Date with Tad Hamilton...It's about a small town girl from W. Virginia that wins a date with a movie star, and low and shocking surprise later, he falls for her HOWEVER she has a friend that loves her too.

I'm so ashamed. But it was very entertaining when viewed on the sofa with a beer and Stephanie (My wife not the DU Stephanie...They should switch usernames...I'd be less likely to get confused...)!

Personally my favorite part of the entire movie was Pete (Topher Grace from that 70's Show) and his very subtle Existential Hell dealing with losing his secret love to a freakin' star, that was truly hilarious for the viewer. The Absurd kicked his ass the whole movie. Frankly he's a decent actor, sure he didn't bang Demi Moore like his half-wit (At least that's the characters he always seems to play) co-star on TSS, but hey, he's a funny guy.

But the best line of the movie was from "Henry" (The boss in Office Space!) the father of the star swept girl, he was trying to help Pete cope with his loss of his love to a movie star:

"Sometimes Goliath beats the shit out of David. You never hear it because it’s not a good story though."

Holy crap, never expected a gem like that in a crappy little movie like this!

3. The movie actually had several short exchanges that were somewhat...
...clever.

It's like a teern movie that had a decent writer or something?

One scene had Pete reading a book by Carson McCullers, go figure.

4. HBO so I imagine on DVD too.
It's a teen movie that doesn't such.

Ok, there's one, one, 10 minute part where they chop wood and milk cows, the main writer must have been stoned, but rest is pretty funny and not too dumbed down.
