I prefer Canada over those two because it is probably the least racist country in the world.

That is if I am descedended from there so if I said Slovenia or Slovakia names that probably would be hard to find on most people's list that would be why. Ireland and Germany are on there too although with Ireland I wouldnt be alone because I think a good number of the other Mics would choose it too. DU Irish Brigade Rocks lol.

And, yes, I have been there. Luxembourg pretty much gave up on neutrality after World War II (having been occupied by Germany then and in World War I), and is now a NATO member. Small military, most get military training to join the police.

which isn't even a possibility since I don't play, I am stuck here in Bushlandia indefinitely. But if I could emigrate from America, I think I would choose New Zealand. No particular reason, just have always thought it would be a real beautiful place to live. If I ever got the chance though, I would check it out more as a place to live.

There is a heavy german population in Ohio and in my section of the state there are towns named Germantown and the like. The religions is what seperate the Gemans. Some towns are catholic German towns others are protestant German towns. There is German Village in Columbus and it has some awesome reteruant.

I live in Alberta, which is consitered ultra-rightwing by Canadian standards, but still more sane than anywhere in the US

england for me. ive been there and i loved it.

Because of that, my abilities in any other language besides my native English is very small. I can understand some French, but can't speak it well at all. I'd have to say Canada or New Zealand as my top choices, but France, Holland, or Sweden wouldn't be bad. I'd just have some language issues for awhile with the last three. I have told my husband that if they bring back the draft and this crowd stays in power, I want to try to get out (I have 3 boys). He works in healthcare and I will be in the next few years as well, so we would be in demand and could go if we wanted just about anywhere. In a way, I don't think he thinks I'm serious, but I'll be damned if I won't do what it takes to keep my children out of any of these nonsensical wars for corporate profit.

Canada sounds lovely in the summertime. But then, there's Quebec where I'd be expected to speak that pseudo-French.

The Gulf Stream brings warm weather to a little piece of England, but the van won't make it across the Atlantic. Australia and New Zealand, though beautiful, are way out of the range of my wheels.

Canada still sounds good. I'd just drive north until the van broke down and then take the bus. I hear there are jobs to be had in Canada! (Since I don't want to learn another language, India and Malaysia are out of the question for the job market.)

I would like to "drop out" and move to Marrakesh. Morocco has an energy, and life to it. I don't want to move to another place that's almost the same as here.

I'd go to Canada, where I'm also a citizen. This whole damn continent is my playground!

Past that, if Canada went sour, I'd go to Deutschland.
