Let's have a contest!
Tell something that you personally experienced that would make a good book or movie.

We can compare and see who has the most bizarre, scary, funny, etc story to tell and pick the winner.

Is anyone willing or brave enough to share personal, deep dark (or light)embarrassing, funny, etc, secrets and experiences?

2. It would be a prequel to a familar movie
called "Boys Don't Cry"

When I was younger, around 12, I made friends with a guy named Bobby. We hung out for a long time. We used to skate at the rink and were just discovering girls (purely innocent). We had a great time and bonded very well.

Turns out "his" name was Nancy.

No one can ever convince me that sexual orientation and identity is a choice.

3. You are correct, not a choice.
Read "Brain Sex".
It convinced me.

4. Here is one of my many experiences:
I was put in the state mental hospital by a quack psychiatrist. He had me so over medicated I did not know what was going on. Thank goodness I "signed" myself in (he threatened to get another psychiatrist to sign off on committing me). I was in a ward with every type of "psychotically challenged" person you can think of. Once I quit taking my medications (I palmed it or hid it under my tongue just like in the movies) and my mind got right, I realized I was in a very scary place.

I did not sleep, I hardly ate. Even though I had "signed myself in I could not get out until I was examined and evaluated by the "team" of therapists/psychiatrists.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I was admitted on the Wed before Thanksgiving, so I could not be evaluated until Monday, since staff was gone for the long holiday weekend. The ward was manned by a skeleton crew of mean nurses and orderlies (just like you see in the movies).

I was locked away for five days without counseling, therapy, etc. On the following Tuesday I met with the "team" and they agreed I did not belong there and released me.

State mental hospitals are very very scary. I do not recommend them. BTW I did not go back to that psychiatrist, I found other help for my depression.
