4. Our local news (in NC)
says that Martha and our former state Sec'y of Agriculture, Meg Scott Phipps, who went to Fed Prison for campaign violations became good friends and Phipps threw Martha a 'going-away party' at the prison.

"On Tuesday night, Mrs. Phipps hosted a pot-luck dinner party to celebrate Ms. Stewart's impending release. Inmates are allowed to make dishes that can be prepared in a microwave or a refrigerator. Mrs. Phipps made a pineapple cheese cake.
"She's fit in very well here," Mrs. Phipps says."

10. WOW I am able to see MSNBC!
I have the $13 cable and can't get any of the news networks, but I did a little fidgeting and I can get MSNBC and now I can't wait for Martha to come out of that damn prison! YAY!

26. No, but her reputation precedes her.
My best friend's dad had the misfortune of working with her on several occasions and he reported that she never missed an opportunity to berate her staff or bitch at the people arranging the events. Hopefully prison taught her a lesson or two.

...and in real life, she may still be that way. But its the symbol, man, we need some symbols. We need to be able to exploit symbols. The Republicans do it everyday, on a 24/7 basis, and they're killing us with their symbols.

30. Yay for Martha--what's most inspiring is that smile, like she has used
this experience and become stronger. At least her face just looks honest and open and glowing in a way I had never seen on her before. I didn't think about her much before, except that I wished I could get myself organized and creative like she does! LOL. But now I see something much more. Hope she can really run with it now, it could really help us all.
