Moms against Bush

OK so I went to visit the folks today and I walk in the door and pretty much the first words out of my mom's mouth are not "How you doing Redneck, it's good to see you." No, it's "Did you hear what that stupid asshole wants to do with Social Security?"

That's my mom, gotta love her.

I guess a little background is in order. My mom's 80 and used to be a Republican but bush pretty much cured her of that...

So even though she doesn't read DU, this is my props to Redneck Socialist's mom thread.

She is threatening to go to the town democratic committee meetings now. I think I would pay money to see that. :)

2. Ya, I wish I could swing my sister

but she and her husband are nustso fundie. More props to my mom though, she doesn't hesitate to run down bushco when my sister's around even though she knows it pisses my brother in law off. "Ya see, Gee dubya can do no wrong 'cause he's a godly man ya know." :eyes: I can't even talk to my sister about politics anymore.
