My cat just gave my face a bath

Only Dora does this....Bear and Sribbles never lick humans. She got up in front of the keyboard and just proceeded to lick my face. She just doesn't get that the rough tongue doesn't belong near the eyes!

Sometime today, Dora also gave her butt a bath.

Thanks for that reminder. She also grooms the other two cats...she's very mothering.

I think it's grooming behavior. He always goes for the mouth too. Yuck.

Dora normally goes for my forehead and eye areas...sometimes my ear. Never the mouth!!

sometimes to the point he's taken a layer or two of skin off in the process.

and puts his paw on your face (absolutely no claws) and holds you.
It's pretty cute. What would we do without the cattys and pups to
keep us sane??? I love them!

She knows when I'm watching TV, it's lap time!

Peanut purrs in my face and touches it with her paw when she wants me to get up in the morning. She's very persistent but such a lovey.

If that doesn't work, she starts walking back and forth over me until I get up.

and it's actually pretty funny! I love those kitty kisses.

I'm bummed out on those mornings I don't get my cat love! Sometimes Sylvester sleeps in. :-)

Nigel used to "groom" my hair. Now, I don't and never have used anything but shampoo on said hair. But I would wake up to this 25 lb. tabby LICKING my hair. So I renamed him, "Nigel, hairdresser to the stars". You had to be there. BTW, I miss him terribly, except for the hair licking thing.

edited to add: Spike, my female, decided at some point in time, that my ears were the most disgustingly dirty things on the earth. So, I had one cat licking my hair and another cleaning out my ears. I literally had SCABS in my ears from her rough tongue. Of course, it goes without saying, all this would be done at 3 a.m. when I'm not exactly at my best. And don't get me started on the two of them playing "fast cats" over my bed.

Id wake up to my hair being groomed. I really didn't care, except for when she got really into it, she knead with claws...not pleasant!

kissed me, never licked me.. my 2nd when he was a kitten on his 1st night with me, found a mole on my neck (through long thick hair) and proceeded to nurse. my 3rd, 1 1/2, likes to need me when i wear sweaters. he doesn't like me in summer. too boney.

when I came home, she sniffled on the hair and when it smelled right she gave me a kiss on the forehead. Really cute
