I don't know if you heard or not but...
Martha Stewart is home. If it wasn't for the news-blip on channel 253 (The Cashew Network) that I was watching, I would have never known. :eyes:

Can we have a little more coverage of this "Story of the Century"?

1. NPR ran it, too...and oh yes, the news will go with it all weekend...
...then drop it.

Then as the price of her company's stock falls (the fundamentals do not justify the price), they will pick it up again.

2. Has she been on vacation?
She's been laying low the past 5 months or so.

:dunce:

3. I was surfing the chanels this morning and saw
what we were learning about Martha Stewart as well as M. Jackson. It occured to me that as well as the media being whores, they are also carnivores. They feed off the lives of celebrities. It has become red meat to them. It is hard to remember just when the media stopped being the conscience of America and started whoring. Surely it must have been when Bill Clinton was in office. They ate off that, and in some instances still are, and became tabloid. We do not get the truth anymore as in Watergate. There are very few real reporters out there in media-land. Martha and Michael have become so much more important than this administration "killing us softly" with their schemes and scents of dictatorship. When we view our pResident, using our tax money, to go around the nation plugging his Social Security "reform" on every network, especially CNN and Fox, we know where they stand and it is not for the American taxpayers. I really would like to know how much they sold their souls for.

5. Martha at least is a relevant news story from a business angle. Further...
...if you don't cover this shit, people scream at you about why you did NOT! I know... I am there, been there, been back, and am there again...got about a hundred T-shirts, too. This job is "damned if you do, damned if you don't." So there you have it.

6. Yes, the business angle is a reason, but what bothers me
is so much of the "scandals" are not really scandals. It is just that we do not get the truth about our country and where it is going. And I suppose there are many out there that do enjoy the Stewart and Jackson coverage and look forward to it. You summed it up well with the "damned if you do and damned if you don't." I have a Gary Larson cup with the image of Satan showing a man 2 doors; on one is Damned if you do and the other is Damned if you don't and Satan tells him to hurry up and choose.

4. Well, it's Friday, so the media needs SOMETHING to cover
up whatever horrid bullshit the WH/GOP will be doing/releasing/destroying today. It's "hide the bad news" day, again.

7. Yeah. We had her over at the house last night.
It was wonderful to have the three of us snuggling up against each other again. I really missed her.
