3. it is worth every penny!

We have enjoyed ours immensely. Not only do you get the beautiful movies, but you then get a crash course in filmmaking. Couldn't recommended them more highly!!!!

and you liked the films.

The extended version of Fellowship is much better than the theatrical. The extended version of TTT is slightly better than the theatrical (which was abysmal), and the extended version of RotK was actually probably worse than the theatrical, which was embarassing.

Sorry! I know everyone loves Jackson but me. Buy this instead...

I hadn't seen any of those movies or watched any dvd (shh, don't tell anyone) until my daughter received that set for Christmas.

I had only read the books and couldn't believe how close these came to what I had imagined. VERY cool.
