Why does Jesus always look like Ted Nugent?

Just wondering...

I believe the historical jebus was a person of color, if I'm not mistaken. I never knew the motor city madman was black, whoda' thunk it? :shrug:

I don't see many. Jesus is usually represented as a pale white guy with a beard.

Sounds like the Nuge to me.

Depictions of GOD, however, always show an old white guy with white hair and long white beard....SANTA CLAUS IN THE SKY!

Of course, the Savior was probably as black as Esquire boot polish, or darned close to it. Even if he was a lighter-skinned Arabic complextion in the manger, he'd have been sun-darkened from all the time he spent outdoors on his travels.

How many black Jews have you met? Why do you think that there were black Jews in the ME 2000 years ago? The only proof that Jesus existed lies in the descriptive texts of the Bible, and it nowhere states that he is white or black...but it DOES repeatedly describe repeatedly as a Nazarean. The Bible doesn't have anything in it, but there are plenty of contemporary documents from the Romans that describe the Nazarean people. And what did they look like? They were tanned and tall, like the Semitic Jews, Lebanese, and Palestinians. If Jesus had been a black Nazarean, that would have been an extremely unusual and significant difference, and probably would have been mentioned somewhere.
