I got pnuemonia after my emergency appy, then an abdominal infection after that was taken care of! Hope your recovery is much much easier! If you get any fever after you finish antibiotics, get thee to the hospital quick!

I am glad to be rid of the little bugger, caused me a heck of a lot of trouble. :-)

brings back a lot of memories. Tough stuff. I had a rupture for 4-7 days before I made it to the hospital. They told me I'd probably have died if I hadn't come in when I did.

Weird little body part isn't it? Did you get pictures or a video of the surgery? I got pics. they are very cool.

Yeah, appendixes do suck big time. I had mine out when I was a sophomore in high school. Many moons ago, in 1968. I was off school for two weeks and the make up work really blew...

I was worried, so am relieved that you're okay and back with us. I can sympathize, since I've had surgery three times, in that general vicinity, and it truly sucks. The first time, I had to have this thing over the hospital bed, to pull up on, just to sit up. And did they just expect you to get up and walk immediately?! This nice Jamaican girl came in and suggested that I get up and walk the day after they gutted me, like a fish! It hurt just to breathe. I just looked at her like she was insane.:crazy:
