5. how old are you??
I think I was about 19 or 20 when I had my first date. I think I remember now ... it was ok, the flirting before the date out was more fun

14. Older men may be better for you then.
Not ancient, just older. I have always liked men who are older than me. It's good

22. don't worry
there are a lot of girls out there who didn't had a date at that age. Sometimes it takes a bit longer. It took me 10 more years till I found someone who really fitted me.

23. Second the older man thing. I've only dated guys who were at least three
years older, and married one with that age difference, still married 25 years later. The biggest age difference was when I had my first date. I was 17 and he was 32, but we didn't know our ages and actually met through my dad. He looked 23 or 24 to my poorly judging brain, he thought I was 23, so that would have been great. He was southern and the real age difference when he found out, didn't matter to him, since his grandparents had been 22 years apart. And married forever. The cutie was good friends with Elvis. Oh, my, what a way to start out after years of praying for something to happen. So, be patient.

4. I kissed her braces.
I was so nervous walking her to her door (age 15, my dad driving us, etc) that when she smilled to say goodbye I went in for the kill and hit the braces. Said good night, walked away, died on my way home.

6. I was only 4
the guy down the street came to the door and asked to take me on a 'date', to the schoolyard monkey bars.

No expectations, no wondering who was going to foot the bill. Yeah, it was fun. :7

8. Super wonderful!
First kiss that night too. He was handsome (6'2", blue eyes, brown hair, just perfect), sweet, and had a nice tush in those tight Levi's (ok, it was 1986, so tight Levi's were cool). :bounce:

15. Strange, surreal and NOT good
I was 14. He was a friend of my best friend's boyfriend and so we kind of got shoved together. He asked me out - "dinner and a movie". I accepted.

He picked me up in a taxi and took me to his house - apartment actually, in a very rundown area of town (I had never known anyone who lived in an apartment - everyone I knew lived in a house).

The place was horrible - dirty, cluttered, with ratty furniture and holes in the walls. His parents ran the taxi company and his mother sat in a corner of the living room, chainsmoking and dispaching cabs on a radio. Dad was flopped on the couch drinking Pabst out of a can and wearing jeans and a dirty undershirt. Several other children ran in and out constantly, swearing like sailors and wreaking havoc.

"Dinner" was KFC, served in the living room on paper plates with no utensils or napkins. I'd never eaten fast food in my life and my family always ate at the dinner table, with all the proper implements and accoutrements. I sat on the edge of a chair, with my plate on my lap, and one piece of chicken daintily held in my hand. I had no idea what to do with it. I may have nibbled a little. It was bizarre.

The movie was, I believe, Jaws, and I spent the entire thing trying to keep his hands off me. There was no second date.

16. I don't even remember my first date.
Must not have been that memorable, hm? Or chances are, it was just a get-together that might or might not have been defined as a date, and I couldn't mentally categorize it. No great loss....

19. Started out good, but went bad real fast.
She was all over me, and then my Visa card declined and she went right back to her corner and wouldn't talk to me. Then she went on a date with another guy right in front of me! It was awful.

So I'm guessing that's bad.
