as an 'Aryan,' so they've softened his features in order to remove any vestiges of swarthiness. They'd probably depict him as a blond Scandanavian if the notion weren't so completely ludicrous. More realistic depictions of Jesus would probably look more like

Not pleasing to those who want to claim Jesus as a member of the 'master race,' however.

7. I know that he looked nothing like the 'Sacred Heart' style image

But portraying Christ as part of which ever race the art is for gives a strong message about the incarnation, and Christ becoming one of us. I would, therefore, fully support pictures of a black Christ, or an Asian Christ; because Christ is white, and black, and Asian &c.
