24. So glad!
I got on the computer just to see what had happened!

Sounds like she has one of the upper-respiratory infections that cats are prone to, especially if they've been through hard times. They usually recover fine once they get treated.

32. I want to hear progress reports okay? I have had cats get sick
after they come back from the vet (where they are supposed to be taken care of!!!!!) and they are sicker when they get out than when they came in. When you take them back for the new illness they got from being at the vet, they charge you. Which is ridiculous. One of my cats almost died after being boarded at the vet for 5 days and he was perfectly healthy when I brought him in. He had just had a physical. I had to spend over a thousand bucks for the illness he picked up there. I should have sued them.

I hope your wonderful little baby makes a full recovery.

38. I hope you can get her seen by another vet.
Our Sara got a respiratory infection when we had her spayed too, and the meds cleared it up right away and pretty easily.. The "eye-gunk" part of it was more persistent because all the cats wash each other's faces.:grr:..but even that was manageable..

those kitties are fighters. I remember one time ym cat was so sick even the vet thought she wouldn't make it (he told that my mom when she came with the cat to him for check up). But she did. And that she greetet you is a very good sign. Keep pampering her and she will recover, I am sure.

44. I just adopted a cat with her problem and:
some advice? Canned food gives them more fluids and because it stinks, they'll prfer it when they're congested because they can smelll and taste it (cats apparently don't drink much in the wild--they get fluids from the dead things they eat) so use canned while she's sick.

Steam! Take her in the bathroom and steam it up--twice a day.

Rickity's fine now and so shall be Natasha.

Very, very Relieved for you in TX,
E

46. did you know cats are desert animals? per my current vet
and they really don't drink that much or can go a long time without drinking. and if they eat canned or wet food they may hardly ever drink as that's where they get the moisture

....I think it's partly because of the insurance company...even if I'm not a *perfect* match but within' like 99.5 or therebouts....it would be better to have the donor be a family member...so they'll approve it at all. *fingers and toes crossed* :)
