Heh...get this: "Swinging" supposedly originated in the USAF.
Modern social "Wife Swapping", as it was then known, began informally among the officer class of the USAF in the 1960s.

Anyone want to confirm or debunk?

Go read "The Lifestyle" by Terry Gould.

As an organized thing it goes back to the 50s. But it has been happening all over the work basically forever.
