The Institute for Backup Trauma
When data is lost due to unreliable tape-based backup, the pain most of us feel is insurmountable. How can we continue our business when our precious information has slipped into a deep, dark void from which it will never return? As if this anguish weren't enough, the knowledge that we could have prevented such a tragedy is even more difficult to bear. For many, this frustration leads to anger, grief, and eventually, madness. This is the condition known as Backup Trauma. Dr. Twain Weck (aka John Cleese)
