its a town of 170,000 people just 7 miles away from Liverpool and 10 miles away from Manchester.

8. Sorry, I should have made myself more clear.

Since you are in the UK you probably have never heard of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. They are two neo conservative faux religious people on television. They are constantly begging for money and the sheep here in the US send it to them. Pat Robertson is the leader and founder of the 700 club, a faux religious show here. That's why the joke about people on DU wanting to hurry and get out of the 700 club. They don't want to be associated with him. :-)

18. There's a nice passenger/freighter liner that goes out of England, and...

...goes to St. Helena. Its the RMS St. Helena. My wife and I hope to do that one day. Its actually a very beautiful island and quite nice.

21. No, but we've read up on it, and know all about it. We've even got the ..

...literature from the RMS St. Helena, and have even looked at an itinerary on the island with all the places to stay, eat, and things to do. We really are planning to go. Plus the ship makes several ports-of-call on the way down stopping in various parts of
Africa, and Ascension Island. It all sounds very exotic.

My favorite Little rock in this whole cornucopia we call the British Isles is a little place called Caldy Island just of the coast of Tenby in south wales.

All it has is a monastery and one small hamlet... but its just unspoiled beauty...plus the first time I went there I saw dolphins on the boat crossing
