I am off to bed...alarm set for 01:55...F1 starts then

Actually, I'm going to sleep on the sofabed in my study which is where my one, miniscule teevee lives.

The grid is topsy turvy and there is a possibility of wet weather. I live in a house where I can whack the volume up; my teevee has been set up to run through my Marantz amp.

Yes, I am sad, yes F1 is bloody silly...but I love that parallel universe.

But that's dedication alright!

Funny story (somewhat)

A couple seasons ago the opening race was on, at night, on a Saturday like all the rest of the opening races in Australia. I was in my (then) favorite Chinese Bar Dive, where Nascar races ALWAYS play. I asked them to put the F1 race on, I think it was around 9:30. Anyway, I pretty much cleared the place out with that request, because people couldn't STAND the whining of the engines :D I would've been happy to listen to some other television feed and watch the race in silece, as I don't need to hear it, but the bartenders were being too polite to ask me to change it. So the place cleared out. The race dragged on, and on, and on, and I got dirty looks and was told that I was never allowed to request a televsion show again. :D

Fuck em.
