9. The first time I heard her sing I thought her voice was absolutely amazing
And I still think so- but to me she is overexposed. I don't want to hear about how her married manager seduced her when she was a teenager, or how she sewed her bridal veil to her scalp, or how she had so much trouble conceiving, yadda yadda.

She is annoying, but I still think she has an amazing voice.

I heard her sing when she was in her early teens. Her voice is amazing, her exposure is killing her popularity.

Don't like her AND her husband is creepy. Personally, I think singers should stick to singing in their native tongue (unless it's opera). I can't think of any singer that sings as well in English as they do in Spanish, French, etc. They may be technically proficient, but they just can't communicate the same emotion when it's not their native language - JMHO.

24. French-Canadian are split over Celine.
Some are in awe over her achievements and some can't stand her (her personality and/or her voice).

She grew up in a village 2 miles from mine. Some of her relatives are married to some of mine...

I don't care much about her. Never understood the Quebequers infatuation over her. It most be coming from the feeling many still have about being the underdogs of Canada... She made it in the big USA!!

Anyway, I admit to respect her one thing : she still talks and acts like a little girl from Charlemagne P.Q.
