I've been pulling back some leaves; found some snowdrops blooming. I cut off some forsythia branches, brought them in, put them in water and watched them bloom. Some Kerria and some bridal veil too.

Couple birds have come back already, I can hear them singing in the morning. They run on faith. Gardeners have to be faithful. We start early April, pulling back the leaves, fertilizing the ground, watching for any sign of spring.

Here's my garden in summer. Can I see yours?

Congratulations; you've made it. :toast: Enjoy yourself. I don't know how to post photos so you'll just have to take my word for it being sunny here, about 72 and drying out nicely after weeks of rain.:)

Gyre

ps: A nice curved redwood deck walk, or flagstones w/moss between, would really look nice where you've got those bricks in rectangles as paving stones.

4. 16 trees makes even moss a difficulty to grow
lots of casualties in the process of this 6 yr old garden

5. Lovely garden! I just noticed today that the daffodils are poking...
their little green leaves up since the snow has melted on the bank where they are planted. I'm in W. PA and winter here really didn't start until January. We had more rain than snow until recently, but I'm still anxious for spring so I can dig in my garden and plant things.

7. Absolutely beautiful. That looks like a full-time job.
I spent the entire day in my tiny backyard today. Raking, trimming, etc. My daylillies are sprouting. I put down new grass seed (yea, I know i should have done in the fall but I have a very small backyard.) I figure another week or two and I can start plantinng.

I'll post pics after I get it going this spring. I have a tropical theme and a tiki bar in the yard as well. Plenty of hibiscus and palms.

I do have to admit that i'm sore as hell tonight after raking all day!
