I thought he was the stereotypical white arrogant frat boy. Yuck.

But then I saw him with those glasses and those buff arms (and I hate buff) in MI, and WOOO. But then I only liked him in the MI films (ooh, and Interview with the Vampire, liked him in that). Then I saw Magnolia, then he divorced Nicole "yuck" Kidman. For some reason he's looking hot to me lately.

Now he's one of my favorites. A bit scary because of the Scientology stuff, and because his recent movies haven't been great, but he seems like a cool guy and a capable actor. Plus, he gets extra points from me for adopting a brown kid or two and requesting Thandie Newton (at the suggestion of Ms. Kidman) for MI2. :)

Overrated and I don't think he is that good looking or maybe its because he annoys me so that I don't find him that good looking, whatever! :shrug:

I don't like him and rarely watch his movies.

I don't think he could pull off what Johnny Depp does, or Dustin Hoffman, for example.

I watched LENNY tonight. Hoffman and Valerie Perrine are absolutely terrific in that film.

It'd be good for the world to know that someone they love so much is gay.

He's an OK actor, but I'm not attracted to him at all. Just...meh.


Besides, isn't he a Scientologist? That's a big ol' dealbreaker.

i'm not attracted to him at all. i know he isn't unattractive and seems to have what makes for a good looking guy. but i just can't get into him. he does nothing for me.

but he is a pretty good actor.

I certainly don't go see a movie BECAUSE he is in it. I'll go see 'War of the Worlds' because it intrigues me, not because I might see Cruise in a leather jacket and jeans again. :D

Physically a hottie but he's the duke of dorkdom.
