Anyone else almost obsessive about their favorite color?
I hope this thread gets more attention than my picture thread - I need to get out of the 700 club as quickly as possible!

I really love the color green. I mean, if it were up to me, 90% of my wardrobe would be green, every room in my house would be decorated in the color, etc.

As it is, I'd say one third of my wardrobe is green, I love emeralds, my car is green, my bedroom has a green theme. I could go on but I think you get the picture.

I wonder what it means?

Anyone else like this?

1. I used to be the Purple Lady a few years ago - everything I wore
and most of the stuff in my house...I relented since, but I still like it. Makes shopping so much faster as you go for colors rather than anything else...

2. I don't know if I look good in red, but I sure feel good in it...
so I tend to buy a lot of it.

3. I think we have a natural affinity for the colors we look good in
I do look good in green (my eyes are green too) Maybe that's it. It must mean I think I need a lot of help, eh?:P

I wanted to answer so you could respond and be that much closer to freedom from the 700 Club. ;)

8. I'm a colorful person.
I have lots of colors in my wardrobe, to suit just about any mood.

I'm sitting in my office here at home, which has red painted walls.

Do you like sage green? All the trim in our family room and kitchen is sage green.

9. There is no shade of green I don't like
At least a little - avocado green I can only take in small doses. That's what I mean about being slightly obsessive.

But getting back to your question - I love sage green!

10. We added lots of color to this house after we bought it.
We bought a new house, but we didn't have it built (it was a builder model) and had no choice about the colors/carpets. All the walls were white and the trim white too. The carpet was that mushroomy blah color.

The office has red walls, red-and-cream window treatments, and a beautiful medium brown carpet. The family room, kitchen and eating area now have walls the color of light brown sugar and the trim is sage green. The carpet in the family room is a thick plush chocolate brown. The kids' rooms are painted a pale lavender. Our main floor bath is done in shades of brown, gold and copper, and my husband found a paint color called "suede" that he thinks would look good in there.

11. I would have settled for neutral
You should have seen this house when we moved in. It was this weird mish-mash of kind of techno modern (black, red and sliver and other metallics) and that pseudo country thing - you know geese and flowery prints etc. Gaaack.

Your house sounds great - I love people who aren't afraid of color or aren't like those who leave everything really neutral so the house will be easy to sell. How about living in the here and now?
