4. Monterey jack cheese is wonderful!
I've been eating (and loving) it for most of my life. It makes the most wonderful grilled cheese sandwich, esp. on whole wheat bread. It's also great w/almost any cracker. Or just by itself. I believe that it originated here in California, so that makes me happy too. I dunno why!

5. Sure.
If it's cheese, I usually don't have a problem with eating it.

6. Mmmm- smooth & creamy
and delicious. Great on nachos instead of cheddar. But I thought it originated in Mexico.

11. True story...back in the '80s, the "Jack In The Box" chain...
...was thinking of repositioning itself in the market by renaming itself "Monterey Jack's." As a market test, they redid all the stores in the Seattle area with the new name and a new color scheme (navy blue, gold, and white). About half a year later, the company decided that the name-change didn't boost their bottom line, and changed everything back.
