frivolous/ Phew . . . I just shoveled my entire driveway
About 80 meters worth, without checking the weather report.

A triumph of optimism over experience, as it is most definitely still winter here in Cluj.

And the first, fat flakes are beginning to fall.

Oh well, I guess it's good exercise.

What's a meter?
Where the hell is Cluj?
and what is shovelling?

Just kidding, although nobody shovels here in Leavenworth, they just wait a week or so for it to melt off.

In SD where I grew up, I always figured it was prudent to shovel after about three hours of snowing, even if it was still snowing very hard. It is better to shovel 8 inches of snow twice (excuse me, I mean 20 centimeters) than it is to shovel 40 centimeters of snow once.

2. Agreed, especially since the weather report I saw . . .
Was as reliable as most weather reports, and now it's a bright sunny day and I'm the only one of my neighbors not currently shoveling a walk.

So we're going to go play in Faget Forest (sliding down snowy hills) while everyone else slaves away like indentured servants.
