Poll question: Would you work on the top floor of this building?
Edited on Sun Mar-06-05 08:45 AM by Stop_the_War

This is the currently highest building, it's called Taipei 101. But before you say yes, this is how it looks from the top:

3. Not no but hell no
I'd rather work underground. You can't fall from underground. I'm scared of heights to begin with though. :scared:

6. I wouldn't stay in it either.
That height is psychotic, basically a "I bet we can build the tallest building, neener neener" there for no reason but to show how great someone is.....no stinkin way.

Same for the Twin Towers. They were too damn big, for no good reason. They did look nice though. :(

8. I don't think I could handle it
Anything tall enough to let you see the curvature of the planet is a tad much. :)

13. I'd be nervous
I have eaten dinner on the top floor of some skyscrapers and that made me nervous enough. I don't know if I could handle working on a double digit story floor, let alone triple digit.
I think that this is going to have to be the future though if there isn't a big population collapse. It makes environmental and economic sense to build up instead of out as land is more limited.

15. Fie... top story of the Sears tower is higher....
They measure the "tallest" by measuring to the "structural" top which includes decorative spires but not antennae. Sears is topped by 253' antennae, which does not count but would make it taller than Taipei 101. Measured from sidewalk to top occupiable floor, Sears is still tallest. (sheesh, do I sould like a whiny, provincial, chicago architect or what?)
