What are the best plays you have ever seen performed by high school actors, particularly at One-Act Play competitions.

1. I saw a HIgh School production of South Pacific that was
terrific. There is a near by high school known for it's decent productions. The same school also did a really nice production of Bye, Bye Birdie.

When I was in High School, they did the Wizard of Oz and it was terrible.

6. I saw a One-act version of "Opal" that was okay... didn't make me cry...
But I once competed in a One-Act contest against a school that did "Edith Stein" ... people in the audience got choked up and had tears in their eyes.

8. I was in the pit orchestra for "Bye Bye Birdie" with Wayne Brady
He was on the stage. We all were saying how he was going to make it, and he did. Good for him.

11. When my daughter was in high school,
the drama dept. put on "The Little Shop of Horrors." It was incredible. The lead actors all looked and sounded like their film counterparts and the stagecraft was over the top! I will never forget it...
