Poll question: What's your MOST favorite year?
Of these presented only.

And be careful. Remember something signficant that happened around the year in question...

2007 is also a given. It just hasn't happened yet, but the future was made immutable quite some time ago...

1. 1967 ...No contest....
The Summer of Love. I was 20. I've never quite gotten over it.

Too bad they didn't listen to us. The only thing left is our rock and roll music, but its on Hummer commercials.

Fuck!

6. Sigh.... I was 19.
We were all riled up about Vietnam and the civil rights movement, but we were hopeful, too. But now... not so much. I've been feeling kinda doomed lately -- maybe I've just gotten old and tired. 1967 was a great year. This one definitely isn't.

9. Go to a protest on the 19th or 20th...
It always makes me feel better. Lots of old hippies to hang with.

Sigh.....

7. 1987
I was 17, Slayer were on the Reign in Pain tour which I traveled to see 10 times, Heavy Metal was in it's golden age, I was partying like a madman, my band was playing out, tons of groupies to play with, had not a care in the world. Man do I miss those days.

8. 67... no contest
The Summer of Love. I was one year old. I'll never forget it. The Haight. The acid, the music, the communal living, the certainty we could end the war. The free love. Grace Slick.

And anybody who thinks this is a bad attempt at satire just doesn't get it......

Khash.

12. 1977
The year I graduated high school and started college.

Our unofficial HS class motto:

"Love is great, sex is heaven -- we're the class of '77!"
