Hey, kids! What's the current lingo?
Fill me in on the new slang, okay? I'm heading for 40 quickly ... I need help ... For example, what's the latest synonym for "cool?"

Thanks, you crazy kids with your rock'n'roll music and those nutty tattoos. Why, in my day ...

1. urbandictionary.com
for all your slang needs...one of my favorites: "choad" a penis that is wider than it is long!

1. a snag short of a barbie
to have kangaroos in the top paddock; to be a stubbie short of six pack; not the full quid; a nutter or person who is not of the usual intellect

That drongo Bush is a few snags short of a barbie
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=a+snag+short+of+a+barbie&defid=1104854

Yes, that was their example!

5. if I used it, I'd sound like a fool
There is nothing worse than someone using language that is uncomfortably young or hip. Wouldn't you agree?

Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 01:34 AM by mark414
though i would say that applies for ANYONE...i think anyone using slang that they don't normally use when in the company of those who DO use the slang always sounds like an idiot...it always sounds forced, because it is

me on the other hand i got my own thing locked down so nothing to worry about

...though i'm sure in 20 years i won't have a clue what those damn youngsters are talking about haha

and that is inevitable. We all age, unless of course we die young. Consider the upside. You'll be smarter than you are now.

and the big problem is when older people try to use slang and say it all slowly, carefully pronouncing of the syllables.

18. I'm 23 and I notice nowadays at my old high school kids say "sick" to mean
"cool"

Personally that's the lamest crap. I mean I know it's the old story, what was "in" when you were younger is considered too old fashioned, ect but seriously taking the word "cool" and forming it to "sick" just what the hell is that supposed to mean??

I mean you think of "cool" and you think comfortable, smooth, excellent....yea baby I'm diggin it ;)

but this "sick" it just makes me wanna puke.
