anyone have any alternative meanings for the term?

We used it as slang for taking a dump during college

1. It has an historical meaning...
from the Algerian War of Independence, and the French "rocked the casbah" (Algiers' casbah) as a means of driving out rebels. That's the off-the-top-of-my-head recollection.
