4. well, I'd argue
that they were the sites of two of the four largest water-construction projects in Us history, the LA Aqueduct/Mullholland Dam and the TVA. Plus LA subsidized the construction of Hoover Dam. So they're connected to three of the four (the fourth being the hydroelectic dam system on the columbia river)

how'd I do?

7. Very well! Excellent point.
The question now is, did George Clooney and his little tubs of Dapper Dan hair grease ever get nearly drowned in the Aqueduct? (vague movie reference) ;)

Thanks, northzax :bounce:

6. here's one
they both had a senator, who Later as president, had committees investigate articLes of impeachment against them... one being impeached, and the other resigning before convening.

8. Andrew Johnson?
Born in NC... He's the only other president (besides Clinton) I can think of who was impeached. What am I :dunce: missing?

9. andrew johnson
was a democratic senator from tennesee at the start of the civiL war; he's the onLy southern senator to remain in office after the state seceeded. he was impeached, but feLL one vote shy of removaL from office.

nixon wasn't impeached because he resigned. but he was on the road to it - had the committee formed to investigate what charges to bring.

hence, why i worded it - had committess of impeachment, etc.

11. Ah. You rock, Sniffa.
That's why: I only looked at where he was born -- not which state herepresented in the Senate. My bad.

You've come upon a great one here! Thanks.

(I wasn't referring to the fact that Nixon wasn't actually impeached; the connection works, IMO.)

15. Well, there is one other important connection, and it's the reason I've
asked the question. But yes, that is very important!
