Cat Shoots Owner
BATES TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A man cooking in his kitchen was shot after one of his cats knocked his 9mm handgun onto the floor, discharging the weapon, Michigan State Police said.

if that guy had just had a gun in his hand, unlocked and loaded, he coulda blown that criminal feline into a big pile of bloody fur.

It does make wiping your ass a bit tricky, but you can never be too cautious.

2. that reminds me of the scene in Bowling for Columbine
when that hunter dressed up his dog and then slung a shotgun across his back and when the dog started walking the shotgun went off and the hunter got hit in the leg.

Yup, knowing my woogies* that was no accident.
* I've been informed by my cats that the term "cat" is a felinophobic biped ("human") construct. Felines prefer to be known as "woogs" or "woogies," if you want to be familiar. Ask your cat and pass this on. So there!

If it wasn't an accident, I am sure the guy had it coming but I am thinking this is just a horrible accident and the poor cat is probably feeling enough guilt!

A really advanced martial artist might say, a weapon is an extension of one's will.

In both cases, gun and shooter would not be considered separate entities. But this is awfully Eastern thought.



We in the West frequently think things are ala carte, or mechanically dissectable into standalone parts.

8. Paranoid dolts who keep guns lying around
with rounds chambered and the safety off deserve this kind of stuff.

Why the HELL don't they require gun safety training?

I know you can't make things foolproof because fools are just too ingenious. However, you can slow 'em down.
