1. Unpredictable
You remember that famous Mark Twain quote, about how if you don't like New England weather, just wait a minute and it'll change? It's true.

4. Usually nice, but most of the leaves won't be out yet
and the weather can be wacky. Pack for all exigencies.

7. To give you an idea: it was 90 degrees last Marathon Monday (April 17th)
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 04:41 PM by Kathy in Cambridge
and 45 and rainy the next day. That sums up April.

The flowers will be in bloom, but the leaves will be barely out.

Bring layers (T-shirts, fleece, jeans). It can go from 90 to 45 in an hour, aand from sun to rain.

11. Um...wait, wait, wait. Hold the freakin' phone.
You'd go to BOSTON but you haven't come HERE?

And then there's the matter of a little summer trip I think you ought to be taking to parts central....

14. Well, let's just say I've known Fluff for a while...
and she's never come to see me. :( (Of course, she'll tell you that I could just as easily go to see her, which is true enough.)

And that other trip thingy too.

I really can't come to Boston...I have to make my annual pilgrimage to see family, and we have a limited vacation budget. This year I hope to see my second older sister, who had her first (and probably only) baby last summer. I haven't seen her since the summer of 2001 when I was pregnant with Julian - he's three and she's never met him!
