DU groups proposal -- lost and/or mismatched Tupperware/Rubbermaid ...

lids/containers exchange group.

I needed to store and freeze a big batch of beef stew tonight, but out of the dozens of lids and containers I have, it took me 10 minutes to match-up the right size and pair I needed. :mad:

I have containers with no matching lids, and lids with no matching containers.... dozens of them!

There needs to be some sort of industry standard legislated, but until that happens, we're stuck with this shit.

What I'm proposing is a forum where other DU'ers can exchange and trade lids/containers that they no longer have a need for or have lost or misplaced one or the other.

Frustrating... isn't it?

I mean, unless you have a club foot or something socks still fit no matter which foot they're on.

to the OP: Tupperware sells a little dingus called "the place for seals." That and my sandwich keepers, which have built-on lids, are my friends. I feel your pain.

6. i wish i knew that, i just cleaned out all of my cabinets

and i ended up throwing away about 20 lids that i couldn't the bottom for.
