How fucked up are gasoline prices in your neck of the woods?
Plano TX: Record high at $1.99 for regular..WTF??? And we are usually way below nat'l prices. At this rate we'll be well over $2 by summer. I hope the local SUV/Hummer repukes are enjoying it. We really need to invent a sticker that we can slap on gas station tanks to REMIND them who they need to thank when they fill up their tanks for $40-$50 bucks a pop. Hmmm...may a bulk order from one of those invent-you-own <bumper> stickers websites.

$2.25 for regular in SF, if you're lucky enough to find it. Highest I've seen lately is $2.94 for full service premium.

Oceanside, CA. I drove by the gas station I always fill up at and it was $2.19 for regular unleaded. One hour later, it was $2.27. This is an Arco. The other stations I passed by were higher.

19. $2.20 a Gallon in Lafayette, Indiana
It was $1.94 just last weekend.

Yes, I KNOW the Europeans are paying $4 a gallon. They ALWAYS have paid $4 a gallon. Even when I was a young feller 40 years ago the British were paying $4 a gallon.

If the Europeans had to rely on their cars like WE do in this gawd-forsaken land of 20-mile commutes and no mass transit, how long before they started bitching about their $4 a gallon juice?

Moving closer to the job is NOT an option. What I might be saving at the pump would be more than exceeded by what I'd have to pay the landlord.

In north AL. DO THE MATH! That is more than 3% inflation!

Our falling dollar is beginning to suffocate us, as my econ model predicts will happen by third quarter this year. Stag-flation actually started about 8 months ago.
