Ever stayed at an all inclusive resort?
My partner and I are going to the Copamarina Beach Resort, which sounds like a lovely and laid back small resort in a quiet part of Puerto Rico. It's all inclusive, including tips, so my question is: who do we tip, how much do we tip, when do we tip? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

1. In the case of extraordinary service
Since tips are included, you don't tip the regular way, like meals, porters, etc.

But, say you need a whole lot more towels, or you want your linens changed twice a day - stuff that's above and beyond the normal services for which you'd tip - you tip.

You'll know. But, talk to other guests, and see what they're tipping, just to make sure you're tipping enough.

Have a wonderful time.

2. I have stayed in all-inclusives in Mexico (Playa Del Carmen)

we usually tip the bar by the beach/pool $20/day ($10 at the beginning and $10 at the end). You'd be amazed how much better you get treated-and how much stronger the drinks are! I tip the maids what I'd tip in the US-usually at the end of the stay.

Matcom and the Mrs. go to all-inclusives too. he'd be a good person to ask.

3. I agree with Kathy.
I stayed at one in Bermuda and we really only tipped if somebody went above and beyond, say, like when a waiter brought our drinks out to the hot tub instead of making us pick 'em up at the bar. Sigh. What the heck am I doing in Maine? Eight more inches of snow expected tonight...
