2. Not an easy poll
Amazing that one band went through that many great guitar players. I picked Page.

3. I saw them live w/Beck & Page together
Just after Samwell-Smith left the band.

Beck was the main man! Page was awfully good too.

What an amazing band!!!!!

5. All Yardbirds fans gotta check out 'Birdland'!
The album is a guitar freak's dream...

Skunk Baxter, Beck, Slash, Brian May, etc. etc. First new Yardbirds album since '67.

The latest Yardbird guitar god - Gypie Mayo - is also quite amazing.
He rips without copying any of his predecessors and still gets that amazing Yardbird sound.

The album is well done, and the new Yardbirds have the old energy with that powerful, edgy quality that makes them special.

6. Beck. Page was second. Clapton left whining about how the band had

gone too pop and had sold out its blues beginnings. Shows up later as a member of Cream in Eye magazine, himself and his SG all Day Glo psychedelicized.Don't think Ledbelly'd done it thataways, Eric.
