Reminiscing about Saturday night baseball

I just had some thoughts on the fracas that happened Saturday night in Boston. I know we have a lot of Sox fans on here, but what Ramirez and Martinez did was absolutely disgusting and reprehensible. It seemed that the Red Sox fans loved it, and that was just disgusting too. There is no excuse for that level of unsportsmanlike behavior, and you guys should really be ashamed.

what happened on the field which is something that happens dozens of times per year and ignoring two Yankess jumping a member of the groundscrew because he was ROOTING TOO MUCH!

And Im sure you were saying these same things when Clemens was throwing a bat at Piazza.

Jumping disabled 72 year old men happens often, even dozens of times during the regular season? Where have I been?

Both teams acted like shit. You can't place a majority of the blame on the Yankees when the Sox are equally at fault.

Don Zimmer himself was involved in a fracs with another black latin pitcher in the 80s so its not that rare.

Dave Stewert drop kicked Pat Corrales as the manager headed toward the mound menacingly.

I cannot remeber a time when two members of a team attacked a member of the groundscrew, sending him to the hospital, because he was rooting too hard for his hometown team...can you?

6. Please

I think it was said that the groundsmen was clearly taunting the team above the dugout. When tensions are high, sometimes shit happens. I don't think it was appropriate what either team did... but I also think it is unfair to dismiss what the Sox did because it's "more common" or something like that.

The 5'9" groundskeeper taunted the 6'9" Yankee into getting stomped with cleats by he and a teammate while Manny Ramirez reacted to a known headhunter and you think the guy who yelled at Clemens is worse than the TWO guys that STOMPED on a guy that teased them?

Yeah I guess shit can happen.
