12. what scares me is not the ignorance...
I've met few people truly ignorant of the case. What bugs me is the ones who seemed to have gotten all their knowledge about it from FreeRepublic.

I can't think of any issue here on DU that has displayed such a parroting of right-wing fundy talking points.

they latch onto a site that reinforces their beliefs. I know you've seen that in the 9-11 forum where some folks feel it's ok to cite neo-Nazi sites and claim "no one has the monopoly on the truth." :eyes:


I appreciate your posts on the Terri thing, I've learned a lot from them. (And Modem Butterfly's as well)

the 9/11 forum IS the other place where it happens a lot. I've seen some of the sites they link to, and it gives me the heebie-jeebies.
