Poll question: How long until peak oil shatters our economy?

(my sig line contains the crucial notes regarding oil - from 2001, no less)

The last I heard, it was claimed the economy would be in jeopardy by 2007.

I had no idea that the US, starting in 2001, consumed more oil than what was available. Knowing that is scary...
