What is your favorite X-Files and why?
They showed Unrhue last night on the local UPN affiliate. That's the episode where they crazy guy psychically projects his delusions onto film, kidnaps women, and scrambles their brains in order to stop them from having "unrhue", or restlessness, from "the howlers". The actor that they got to play the crazy guy twitches one of his eyeballs in a really creepy manner. Good episode, maybe not my favorite, but definitely up there!

4. "Blood"
It's the one about the subliminal messages that people see in their electronic devices. It's because the town was used as an experiment for a special nerve gas.

Either that or the ones with Art Modell, the "Pusher."

16. They found out the date of the alien invasion
Dec 23rd 2012 (it's been some time since I saw that episode), Scully and Mulder have a final confrontation with the Cigarette Smoking Man (who tells them the date of the invasion and some other things I can't remember off the top of my head ) , CMS is killed when a helicopter shoots a missile into the ruins where he meets Mulder and Scully.

The episode ends in a hotel room with Mulder and Scully finally kissing I believe.

- I would check out an episode guide because my memory is kind of fuzzy

21. Nothing can kill CSM!!!
Certainly not some dumbass Hellfire Missiles!

CSM lives.

Great last episode, IMO. It was a courtroom deal, mostly, recounting the series, but with new stuff too. It made me think that the show could really have gone on and on, but then I remembered that the reason it sucked the last 2 seasons was because Duchovny left, and the reason the last ep was great was because he was back.

13. That was a good one!
True story: unbeknownst to us, our TV was about to die on us due to electrical problems (it was old, and dust and dog hair were causing it to spike). My partner was a computer consultant, and so I would take him to the airport on Sunday afternoon and pick him up Thursday evening, so most of the time, I was alone. The night that particular episode debuted, I had decided to go to bed early. The TV spiked, turned itself on in the middle of one of the monster's attacks. I thought someone was breaking in downstairs. Scared the piss out of me. I nearly ended up pulling an Elvis (i.e., shooting the TV).

6. the one where the kid wanted to see Cher
Jerry Springer was in it.

I also like the one with the vampire which was told from either agent's point of view that was totally different. That ____ Wilson (I can't tell the brothers apart) guy was the sheriff with the teeth.

18. I liked the He Said, She Said vampire episode best, I think...
There were so many good ones, though. I think that one was in season 6. Hilarious!

I also like "Arcadia" which everyone else hates. It's the one where Mulder and Scully pose as a married couple in a development to uncover a bunch of missing persons. In the end the development is "haunted" by some demon who kills anyone who doesn't comform to the strict CC&Rs of the development. It's from season 7. Maybe you can't appreciate it unless you've lived in an HOA.

:)

Best serious TV series EVER.

Are they ever going to do another movie?

63. In the Big Inning
Many good ones already mentioned but I'm surprised no one else mentioned that one.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

71. That's my favorite serious episode...
Edited on Mon Mar-14-05 07:30 PM by VelmaD
It's hard for me to pick one favorite. Big Blue for the funny ones. Terma/Tunguska for the mythology arc ones. And The Unnatural (the ep you mentioned) for the other serious but not myth-arc eps.

67. I don't know the name, but it's about a carnival man with a "skin
condition", a man with a tail (runs in the family) whose muscles could reset themselves into any identity. And this one morphed into Moulder!! It was funny seeing him stand in his "own" office, glance at the poster "I want to believe", and then mutter, "What a loser." And THEN try and get Scully drunk so he could KISS her!!!! Whoooooo!!!!!

:bounce:

Great ep. Especially love how he knocked that chick up while he took the shape of Luke Skywalker. *snort*

82. Aaaah - LOVE that episode!
My favorite part was when the guy shapeshifted into Mulder and did that bit in front of the mirror with his gun...trying to be all tough. You're a damn good lookin' man.' 'F.....B.....Iiiiiiii.' Hilarious!

73. Those would be War of the Coprophages...
and The Host, respectively.

I am SUCH an X-Files geek to know that. :)

78. The one about the inbreeders down south. The Momma lived under the bed
on a creeper. That was a very controversial episode that was banned in several markets.
It was very creepy!

83. my personal favorite
is the he said/she said vampire episode. It's hillarious. Another great episode IMO is the one where Scully and Mulder pose as a married couple in the neighborhood with the trash monster.
