Eliot Spitzer for Attorney General!

Of the US, that is. I think President Kerry should appoint him in '05; what do you guys think? ;-)

Spitzer already said he would not support a candidate opposed to the Iraq war. It would be interesting to see if Spitzer would even want the post.

I cannot vouch for the credibility of this newspaper, but Spitzer's statements were discussed heavily at DU in the beginning of June.

I should clarify. Spitzer did not say that he would necessarily support Bush over Dean. Spitzer said that he felt an anti-war Dem nominee, such as Dean, did not have a shot at beating Bush.

12. That wouldn't affect his ability to discharge his duties as AG.

I don't consider that a third-rail issue. Dean is pro-death penalty, for instance, and I am deeply, deeply opposed to it, but I would still vote for him in a nanosecond, if he were to be nominated.
