Have you ever ruined an appliance by getting it wet
only to find that it works again when its dried out a few weeks later?

My clock radio has recovered from the diet pepsi incident.

Now I am hoping my coffee maker will recover from the sink incident.

7. Oh Wow. I dropped mine in the toilet (don't ask) and microwaved it
due to a stupid friend's advice. It was long gone. :hi:

14. I did the same thing...
I disassembled the phone, and let it air-dry.... and my numbers were still there when it dried out!

Then a week later it just DIED unexpectedly.

5. Two things
I dropped my walkman in the toilet, lol, and it worked after it dried out.

Then, I dropped a cordless phone in the sink, and it worked after drying out too.

6. My clock radio survived a coffee incident...
mostly. Parts of the numbers no longer display. The radio began working again after a few weeks.

8. I once spilled water on a TV set
The picture tube acted up, showing nothing but a rainbow. I turned off the set, blotted up the water, and in about an hour, the picture cleared up.

9. I got the inside of my washing machine wet once.
Didn't seem to hurt it though. But it did get the clothes a lot cleaner that way. Go figure.

10. My ex-wife "washed" her car engine with a 5gal bucket of water
I turned around just as she was finishing dumping the entire bucket of water right on top of the engine. She couldn't understand why I was to angry.

"but the guy at the auto store told me I could wash it". I told her you can wash the mircowave too but that doesn't mean you can throw it in the tub.

It took two weeks before the car would start again.

15. Ruined my cousin's wireless keyboard...
...by leaving a window open and letting it get doused with rain. Not intentionally, mind you, just being scatterbrained. It worked again after it dried out.
