Ordinarily I sneer at the whole cheerleading thing, however I've learned to accept it, you girls are dedicated and discplined as all get out, and I salute you!

I cheered for my parochial school in junior high (mid 70's), they called it "precision cheer" back then, a lot of slapping and clapping and deep grunting yells and NO music. Very red thighs. And it was practically free. None of this flying and tumbling and triple back handsprings and standing tucks and twisters and endless check writing for every #@$^ little thing. That movie. . "Bring it On" it is just like that, I mean it is exactly like that, so far removed from my intensely intellectual and political way of life. But I love my daughter and I will support her and this better get her a scholarship to University of (Terps!)Maryland dammit. <g>

there are political cheerleaders out there. Lots of gay/lesbian squads promoting tolerance with wicked basket tosses. (I kid you not! *g*)

facial shots. In fact, I had to fight to get the girls to make any, they are so self-conscious. And one of my best facial girls is moving on to high school next year, so we're going to have to really work on the younger kids and convince them that it's cool to do them *lol*
