The suspense is killing me

So, I'm driving home from work today, and my cell phone rings. "Hi, this is ____ from Local ___. I just wanted you to know that we haven't forgotten about you. We're trying to get everybody together to meet with the final four candidates." He apologized for the process taking so long, and wanted to make sure that I was still interested in the job. (I knew from my stepdad that I was still in the running, but I had not heard from the guy himself until now.)
